Pop Jazz

The inspiration for Pop Jazz is taken from one of the bars on Rochester High Street, where Guadalupe spent some time listening to live jazz music. He says, “I am trying to understand how it is that in the summer, people suddenly dress in a more bohemian style, and start to enjoy life by listening to music on a warm evening."

Pop Jazz was painted in the summer, and has been influenced by sixties fashion. It has colourful chairs floating in the air, trying to move about with the jazz sound. It represents the emotional inspiration of live music, in which we are the travellers in a lost reality.
