Echo Mode 13

Oil on Canvas (with plastic bubbles), Rochester, 2004

94cm x 92cm

The main idea of this abstract composition is about experimenting with objects that already exist. The image of a bicycle chain is used to show how links are made. This represents the links of a team working together, showing that the only way that we can fly through time is to move together and change the world through mass production.

With the development of modernism, we are the main victims of mass consumption, and so the three bubbles stand for the image of the sixties today, preserving its image in time, as we continue along the unknown path into the future.
