Eighties

This painting is an attempt to understand what these passing moments are like, special times that seem so long ago, years away from our bodies with their tired eyes.

Looking back, we can still see some influences from the 1980s in our lives, especially the colours associated with fashion. We’re looking at something that is old, but still effective.

In this painting, it looks like the colours have been scraped along as we rush through time. There’s no chance of stopping: like driving in a storm, and continually pushing away the rain with your windscreen wipers.
