Whilst living in Newcastle in 2000, Guadalupe began a selection of paintings of animals on paper, small in size, such as Birth of Fish and Blue Rabbit.
As he moved to London later that year, he would develop these ideas as they became larger and more colourful, producing works such as Red Deer and Blue Goat in the run up to his first exhibition, in Feltham in May 2002, after which he turned his ideas to other genre.
